Butterflies

This tutorial was created on August 17,2011 with PSP X3 and AS.

Supplies needed:
1 Tube:
My Mini Kit Butterflies

This tutorial is very easy, I have done most of the work with the animation for you.

Lets not waste time and get started.

Open a new transparent canvas 800*800 px with 300 dpi.

Paste Element 39 as new layer.

Resize 30% and center in canvas.

Send layer to bottom.

Activate Raster 1.

Select- All.

Paste Paper 4 into selection.

Select- none.

Copy frame 2 as new layer, resize 22% and center.

Select the inside of the frame.

Expand selection by 3px.

Invert.

Activate Raster 1 and hit delete on your keyboard.

Select- none.

Paste your tube as new layer (you might have to resize) and move it into the frame.

The tube should line up with the bottom of the frame and surpass a little on the top.

Duplicate tube and bring to top.

Erase everything that hangs over the bottom of the frame.

Paste Element 35 as new layer, resize 25% , tilt it a little to the right and move it over the face of your tube

Add the drop shadow.

Select the inside of the heart.

Expand by 3px.

Activate Copy of Raster 4.

Copy and delete.

Activate Raster 4 and delete.

Paste into selection and change blend mode to Luminance (L).

Select none.

Duplicate Raster3, bring to top, resize to 150% and center.

Paste your tube as new layer, line it up on the bottom of the second frame and move it to the right.

Move down.

Duplicate and bring to top.

Erase everything that’s hanging over the bottom of the second frame.

Paste Element 1, 6 and 5 each as new layer, resize each 10% and move to the left of the second frame. Arrange the flowers to your liking.

Add black drop shadow: 5 | 5 |50 |5 | to the following Raster layers: 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 3 and 4.

Add a text and the copyright.

Merge visible.

Copy.

Open AS and paste as new animation.

Duplicate until you have 23 frames.

Select all.

Open my Butterflies animation.

Select all.

Copy.

You can close the Butterflies.

Paste into selected frames, move the butterflies to the top left corner.

Save and all done!

Cutie

This tutorial was written on 23. January 2011 with PSP X3. It was written for people with working knowledge in PSP.

You’ll need:
1 Tube
 My Scrap kit: Cutie

Don´t forget to save your work every now and then.
Ok let’s get started!
First and most important...open PSP... LOL..
1. Open your Tube and duplicate (Shift +D) and then close original to preserve it in its original state.
2. Set your foreground color to: #FCE7EC and background to: ##92346D [or any other color matching your Tube]
3. Open a new image: transparent, 600*600 Pixel, 300 dpi and fill with foreground color.
4. Layer> New Rasta layer: fill with background color.
5. Layer> New Mask Layer> From Image: select the Mask in the dropdown menu │ source luminance │ invert mask data.
6. Merge group.
7. Effect> 3D Effect> Cutout: vertical/ horizontal: -3│ opacity: 70│ blur: 3│background color│ uncheck: fill interior.
8. Merge all.
9. Image> Add Borders: symmetric checked │ Size: 5 │ select the background color.
10. Image>Add Borders: symmetric checked│Size 13│ select the foreground color.
11. Select Magic Wand Tool: Mode: Replace │ Match Mode: RGB Value│ Use All layers Unchecked│ Contiguous Checked│ Feather: 0│ Anti-alias Unchecked.
12. Left click inside the foreground colored border to select it.
13. Select Flood fill Tool (F): Match Mode: RGB Value│Tolerance: 0│Use All layers Unchecked│Blend Mode: Normal│Opacity: 100.
14. Materials Palette> Foreground/Stroke: from dropdown menu arrow select Gradient│left click on gradient thumbnail/color swatch│on gradient dropdown menu select Foreground/Background│Angle: 0│Repeats: 7│Style: Radial│Centre Point – Horizontal: 39│Vertical: 50│Texture Unchecked.
15. Left click inside the selected border to flood fill it with your gradient.
16. Effects> 3dEffects> Inner Bevel: Bevel #5 │Width: 11│Smoothness: 0│Depth: 2│ Ambience: 0│ Shininess: 20│Color: White│Angle: 315│Intensity: 40│Elevation: 40.
17. Selections>Select None (Ctrl + D).
18. Open “JF_Cutie_Frame_01".
19. Image> Resize: With: 500 Pixel4│Resize all layers unchecked.
20. Edit> Copy, you can close the Frame now.
Back to your image:
21. Edit> Paste as new layer.
22. Effects> 3d Effects> Drop Shadow: -1│-1│50│1│black.
23: Repeat Drop Shadow: 1│1│50│1│black.
24. Open your Tube and copy to clipboard [Ctrl+ C], you can close the Tube.
Back at your image:
25. with the magic wand tool click inside left frame window.
26. New Rasta layer.
27. Edit> Paste into selection.
28. Adjust> Hue and Saturation> Colorize (Shift+ L): Hue: 250│Saturation:70.
29. Layer> Duplicate layer.
30. Image> Mirror.
31. Edit> Paste as new layer.
32. Image> Resize: 500 Pixel Height│all layers unchecked.
33. Add Drop Shadow: 1│1│80│1.
34. Open “JF_Cutie_Paper_06 ", resize to 600*600 Pixel and copy into clipboard and close it again.
35. Paste it as a new layer into your image (Strg+ L)
36. Activate “Raster1 “(frame).
37. Use the magic wand tool: Add, to select all three windows of the frame.
38. Activate “Raster5 “(Paper).
38. Selections> Invert.
39. Hit the Delete on your keyboard.
40. In the layer pallets move “Raster5 “under” Raster1 ":
41. Effect> 3d Effect> Outer Bevel: Bevel #7 │Width: 17│Smoothness: 0│Depth: 10│ Ambience: 5│ Shininess: 2│Color: foreground color│Angle: 315│Intensity: 50│Elevation: 40.
41. Selection> None.
42. Open “JF_Cutie_Badge_01 ", resize to 150 Pixel Height, copy and paste as new layer into your image. Close original Badge.
43. Layer> Arrange> Bring to top and place it on the right side of the frame.
44. Add Drop Shadow: 1│1│80│1.
45. Open “Jf_Cutie_Butterfly_02 ", resize to 150 Pixel Height, copy + paste as new layer into you image. Place it as you like. Close the original Butterfly.
46. Open “JF_Cutie_Dragonfly ", resize to 100 Pixel Width, copy + paste as new layer into your image. Place it as you like. Close the original Dragonfly.
47. Copy, paste and resize a few Brads or/ and Flowers and decorate your image as you like.
48. Layer> Merge all.
49. Please, don’t forget the ©Copyright information and your Watermark.
50. Save as .jpg.
